How C.K. and Jerry Met…
C.K. was spending her time getting to know country life, and enjoying it immensely. One day she received a private message on Facebook from Jerry Lyons. She usually deleted messages from men she didn’t know because of all the scams one encounters on Facebook. Jerry, who was initially a NYC Major Case Homicide Detective, said he was now a private detective with many high profile interesting cases. He had read one of her books—THE MYSTERY OF JESSICA BENSON—and he thought she was the perfect author to work with him to write about his cases as fictional mysteries.
Just before she hit delete she noticed he had done some work in Fort Pierce, Florida. Her brother happened to be a criminal defense attorney in Maddy area, so she decided to give him a call to see if he had ever heard of Jerry. Not only had he heard from him, but Jerry had done some investigation work for him and said in no uncertain terms do it.
C.K. Invited Jerry to meet with her, and he arrived with a stack of files on the Aaron Hernandez double murder case. He had been the lead investigator. They Instantly connected and the RICKY BURNS MYSTERIES series was born—beginning with TWO IN THE HEAD.
Their books were in immediate success. They’ve been working together since then going from one book to the next. They have an amazing relationship, and if you were to meet them, you would think they had been friends and co-authors forever.
